The family areas feature some fun activities tailored for kids, keeping them entertained and engaged. The layout of the rooms provides nice space for families to spread out, and the location handy for local attractions.
The hotel can feel a bit chaotic when filled to the brim with families during school holidays, making it less appealing for couples seeking tranquility. While the rooms are decent, they could use some updates and a refresh to really hit that luxury mark, especially in the bathrooms. Dining options lean heavily towards standard fare, which might not satisfy those looking for a more adventurous menu, plus, babysitting costs can add up quickly if you're hoping for a night out.

Had an amazing time with friends! We enjoyed bike rides, played croquet, and loved the daily kids' movies in the cinema room. The crèche offered much-needed free childcare for a luxurious retreat, ensuring we all relaxed. The property is a hidden gem with plenty to explore.
We did have an issue when we arrived. the reception staff could have been more welcoming. It felt a bit awkward with a focus on formalities, instead of the usual warm hospitality that sets the tone for a stay.

Had an awesome getaway with friends! We enjoyed the outdoor activities like croquet and bike rides. The kids had a blast in the cinema room. The daily two-hour free childcare allowed us some well-deserved relaxation time. Great for a family-friendly retreat!
The evening dining options felt a bit limited for adults, and the casual menu we expected wasn't available. This made it hard for our group to enjoy a relaxed dinner together.

would stay here again without hesitation
The hotel has a nice indoor swimming pool with sun loungers. The room included a large bathroom with a free-standing bathtub, two sinks, and Elemis bath products. Plenty of fun for kids with organized movie nights and large family spaces to relax. Spa offered great treatments like back and neck massages.

Great stay with family vibes!
We had an amazing time! The full body massage was so relaxing, and my daughter loved it too. Lunch was nice and cheap, the fish and chips were delish! The pool was a bit of a trek, being across the parking lot. But the big lounge with two open fires was cozy, though we did have to wait a bit for coffee.

The Ickworth provided an exceptional experience during my stay, especially with their spacious Grand Tour room, well-maintained gardens, and excellent facilities for business travellers. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met, and I found the on-site business center particularly helpful for preparing presentations. The ambiance of the hotel also contributed positively to my overall work experience.
Dining options were limited and could be improved.
